Atari - chronologiczny spis gier

 

Początkowo w "Salonach Gier" stały automaty do gier sprawnościowych np, koszykówka, hokej czy flippery. Zresztą obecnie gry sprawnościowe wracają do łask lecz w dużo lepszym wydaniu niż ich pierwowzory. Jednak ze względu na ich wymiary potrzebny był duży lokal. Po wejsciu na rynek gier telewizyjnych, zajmujących mniej miejsca salony powstawały w barakowozach, którymi można było się przemieszczać wraz z np. "Wesołymi miasteczkami" po całym kraju. 

Koszykówka firmy Sega

Pierwszą grą telewizyjną był czarno-biały "Ping pong" a później to już wszystko "poszło z górki". Powstawały coraz lepsze gry zarówno pod względem wizualnym jak i rozgrywkowym. Równocześnie na rynku pojawiały się nowe firmy je produkujące. Początkowo było ich kilka np:  Atari, Capcom, Data East, Exidy, Irem, Konami, Midway, Namco, Sega, SNK, Taito później np znana firma Nintendo oraz kilka mniej znanych, które wypuściły na rynek konsole czy gry ale nie zrobiły one większej kariery. 

Firmy, które powyżej wymieniłem wydawały swoje konsole do gier czy komputery (w przypadku Atari) wraz z pasującymi do nich kardridżami ale także wydawały właśnie zarobkowe gry telewizyjne. Każda gra miała swoją obudowę czy to w formie stojącej "szafy" czy stolika a nawet w późniejszym czasie była to gra wisząca (mniej popularna). Każda z nich składała się z monitora (głównie kolorowego), zasilacza, pulpitu sterowniczego (manetki plus przyciski) oraz "serca" czyli płyty z daną grą.

Jak można się domyślić, każda z firm miała swój styl oraz własne rozwiązania dotyczące połączeń płyty z resztą oprzyrządowania w danej grze. Ponieważ w naszych salonach kupno całych oryginalnych gier było dość ograniczone więc handlowana głównie samymi płytami, które montowano w maszynach, które już się posiadało. Oczywiście trzeba było ujednolicić system połączeń płyty z danym automatem. Zaczął więc funkcjonować system połaczeń np Jamma czy Konami. Mając tak dostosowane maszyny można było zmieniać gry nie zmieniając automatu. Mniej noszenia, szybsza wymiana gry.

Poniżej podaję chronologiczną listę gier wydanych przez firmę Atari do roku 2003. (Inne listy pozostałych firm podam w kolejnych postach). Gry te wydawały różne firmy podległe Atari stąd ich różne nazwy. Jest w tym wykazie kilkanaście gier, nad którymi pracowała firma o nazwie "Atari Unknown 80's". Sa to prototypy gier, które w większości nie zostały wydane a ich żywot skończył się w fazie prób.
